Getting started

How to join Mad Drift

From zero to sideways in a few minutes. Free to play, no whitelist.

  1. Get GTA V and FiveM

You need a legit copy of Grand Theft Auto V for PC (Steam, Epic or Rockstar Launcher). Then download FiveM from fivem.net, install it and start it once so it can find your game.

  2. Connect to a server

The fastest way: press Connect on any server below. Your browser asks to open FiveM, and you join directly.

Prefer the console? In FiveM press F8 and type:

You can also search for Mad Drift in the FiveM server browser.

  3. Be patient on your first join

The first time, FiveM downloads our cars and maps. Depending on your connection that can take 10–15 minutes. If you are stuck on the loading screen after that:

    • Press F8, type quit, then reconnect.
    • Still stuck? Clear the FiveM cache: close FiveM, open %localappdata%\FiveM\FiveM.app\data\ and delete the cache folder (not game-storage).
  4. Spawn, tune, drift

    • F1 opens the menu: Vehicle spawner for cars, Vehicle options → Mod menu for tuning.
    • F2 toggles noclip. Use it to get out of the way after a spin when others are behind you.
    • Follow the direction everyone else is driving, and don't stop on the track.
  5. Read the rules and say hi

Skim the server rules (short version: no ramming, be respectful, English in chat). Then join the Discord for events, tandem partners and support.
